Book Review:
This book is written by a well-known homeopathic practitioner, researcher, and author, Dr. Rajan Sankaran.
The book takes you on a journey. A journey of finding yourself. Of knowing, who you are? It possesses a rich experience of both knowledge and spiritual awareness. The quotes and lines at the beginning of each chapter fit brilliantly. The author tries to say that each and every person that we meet in life, each and every situation we face, has something to teach us. Every moment of this life is a learning.
I am not a spiritual person. I don’t believe in God but the book stirred in me, a pinch of spirituality, an epitome of awareness, that forced me to ask myself, Who I am? Why am I here?
Though the book is healthy for your mind and soul, it falls short in some places. At many times, there are repetitions of the same experience of the author. The different chapters are not chronological in order and seem to hop to and fro in the timeline. They are finely knit at places but have loose ends at other.
Some segments are really interesting and the reader looks for more but the author has not been able to quench that thirst in their respective areas. In other words, the book promises so much, gives plenty, but less as even more is expected. The book is full of so much positivity that the question arises, Do we get to meet such people in our lives? I am afraid, we don’t. It would have been better if the author could have shared some more bitter experiences and situations of his life, as a learning for the readers.
I would rate the book 3.5 on 5 point scale.
One can go for it as it provides a good read with very few shortcomings. You can purchase this book Online at Amazon.in
